BYU’s Birk-Jarvis Named As WCC Runner of the Week Monday

SAN BRUNO, Calif.-Late Monday, the West Coast Conference announced BYU women’s cross country runner, Erica Birk-Jarvis was named as the WCC runner of the week.

Birk-Jarvis, a native of Coalville, Utah and a former North Summit High track/cross country star, won the women’s 5-K at the Autumn Classic September 15 at Logan, Utah.

Her career-best time of 17:00:90 saw her finish 15 seconds ahead of second-place finisher, teammate and former Panguitch High star, Whittni Orton.

This award commemorates Birk-Jarvis’ first of the season.
