BYU Women’s Volleyball Ranked #1 For First Time Since 1986

PROVO, Utah-Per information released Monday from ncaa.com, BYU women’s volleyball is ranked #1 in the nation this week for the first time since 1986.

The Cougars, who are 8-0 on the young season, rose up from #3 last week and amassed 54 first-place votes.

Stanford, whom the Cougars have vanquished already this season, is #2 with Texas, Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Pittsburgh and Creighton, to round out the Top 10.

This week, BYU hosts bitter rival, #24 Utah Thursday, and will travel to Ogden, Utah to face in-state foe Weber State Saturday.
