BYU Volleyball Named as WCC Preseason Favorite

SAN BRUNO, Calif.-Tuesday, BYU women’s volleyball, currently ranked eighth in the nation, was picked to win the West Coast Conference title while five Cougars made the All-WCC preseason team.

Of the ten overall WCC selections on the all-conference preseason team, BYU represents 50 percent of the roster.

These Cougars stars include outside hitter McKenna Miller of Murrieta, Calif., sophomore middle blocker Kennedy Eschenberg of Bountiful, Utah, libero/defensive specialist Mary Lake of Palm Springs, Calif., setter Lyndie Haddock-Eppich of Longmont, Colo., and outside hitter Roni-Jones Perry of West Jordan, Utah.

The Cougars have won four consecutive West Coast Conference titles and were the unanimous choice to win the title this year, amassing 81 votes and nine first-place votes.

The San Diego Toreros earned one first-place vote and are slated to finish second in the conference.

BYU is in action Saturday as they host Utah Valley at 1:00 p.m.
