BYU Men’s Golf Tied for 9th after Day 1 of Norman Regional

NORMAN, Okla.-Monday, action from the NCAA men’s Norman, Okla., golf region, saw BYU golf tied for 9th place after the first day of competition.

The Cougars are tied at 295, +7 with fellow West Coast Conference rival Pepperdine.

The home-standing Oklahoma Sooners are in first place at 283, -5 while Auburn, Arkansas and North Florida are al tied for second at E 288.

The Cougars are in sixth place overall in pars with 55 and are in the bottom half in every other significant statistical category.

BYU’s top individual performer thus far is senior Patrick Fishburn, who is fourth overall at Par 5, posting a score of 4.25 -3.

The tournament resumes Tuesday.
