BYU Hosts #4 Gonzaga Thursday

PROVO, Utah-Thursday, BYU men’s basketball hosts #4 Gonzaga in a key West Coast Conference tilt at the Marriott Center.

The 13-9 (5-2 WCC) Cougars could really bolster their NCAA Tournament hopes with a win over the 19-2 (6-0 WCC) Bulldogs out of Spokane, Wash.

The Cougars score 82 points per game while surrendering 77.8 points per contest.

Junior forward Yoeli Childs (22.3 points, 9.7 rebounds per game) is fifth in school history with 32 career double-doubles for the Cougars.

Junior guard TJ Haws (17.6 points, 4 rebounds per contest) also bolsters the BYU offense.

The Bulldogs have been dominant this season, outscoring opponents 91.4 points per game and surrendering 66.3 points per contest.

Junior forward Rui Hachimura (19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds per contest) highlights a stellar all-star cast for the Bulldogs.

Other stalwarts on head coach Mark Few’s squad include redshirt junior forward Brandon Clarke (16.3 points 7.7 rebounds per game) and redshirt sophomore guard Zach Norvell Jr. (15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds per game).

The Bulldogs lead the all-time series against the Cougars 15-6.
