BYU Baseball Finalizes 2019 Schedule

PROVO, Utah-Wednesday, Brigham Young University’s baseball program announced the finalization of its 2019 schedule.

The lineup features four non-conference series, a tournament in Texas and the usual West Coast Conference slate.

The Cougars’ season commences February 15 and 16 in a two-game series against Big Ten Conference foe Northwestern at Sloan Park of Mesa, Ariz., the Chicago Cubs’ spring training facility.

On February 18, the Cougars will remain in the greater Phoenix area as they play the California Golden Bears of the PAC-12 conference at Tempe, Ariz.

The following weekend, the Cougars will play a three-game series in Corpus Christi, Texas and will face the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders of the Southland Conference, as well as Ohio State of the Big Ten and Oral Roberts of the Summit Conference.

The Cougars will then play the Lamar Cardinals, also of the Southland Conference, at Beaumont, Texas February 28-March 2.

Following this, BYU has its first home game of the season, March 5, against Utah Valley at Miller Park.

The Cougars’ WCC schedule commences March 14 at Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash.

The regular season concludes May 18 as the Cougars host Santa Clara.

The schedule is also highlighted by three games against bitter-rival Utah.

The Cougars will play the Utes April 2 and May 14 at Salt Lake City and host them April 9.
