#8 Snow Pounds Pima For 1st Place

(Ephraim, UT) — November 3, 2018 — The nation’s leading running back, Badger sophomore Jaylen Warren, shredded the Pima defense for 156 yards and four touchdowns as #8 Snow ripped #11 Pima 64-17, Saturday.  Linebacker Parker Workman led the defense with 6.5 tackles and two sacks, while defensive back Eric Williams intercepted a pass and returned it 64 yards for a touchdown.

Snow led 36-10 at half time and never looked back as the defense forced three turnovers and recorded two safeties against the Aztecs.  Snow quarterback Braxton Kerr threw for 247 yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Derek Wright caught 6 passes for 126 yards.  Defensively, linebacker Noa Purcell recorded 5.5 tackles and a sack

With the victory, Snow moved into a first place tie with Eastern Arizona in the Western States Football League at 5-1.  Those two teams square off for the Conference Championship in the season finale for both clubs this Saturday at 7:00 pm in Thatcher, Arizona.  The game will be broadcast live on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network on KMTI AM 650 & 95.1 FM with a 6:30 pm pregame show.
