41 arrested, 1 officer hurt during Salt Lake City protests

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say 41 people were arrested in Salt Lake City during a volatile Saturday of protests over the death of George Floyd that led to one police car being burned, one officer being seriously injured and the implementation of a curfew. Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said Sunday that most of the people were arrested for failure to disperse. Brown says his agency is also investigating reports about a man who aimed a bow and arrow at a group of protesters before he was tackled and his car burned. He said 21 police officers received medical care and one police officer was hit in the back of the head with a bat.
