Student athlete in Gunnison charged in court

A high school football player accused of several violent sexual assaults of twelve of his school mates, is being ordered to complete community service, therapy, and to move out of his town.

After striking a deal, the 16-year-old Gunnison student pleaded guilty to eight counts of forcible sexual abuse of other students in incidents going back to 2017.

According to Geoffrey Fattah, Communication Director for Utah Courts, some media outlets have over simplified what the court ordered this young man to do.

To avoid further oversimplification, Mid-Utah Radio has attached the full court order below. The name of the 16-year-old has been removed.
