Utah Lawmakers Call For More Security After Congressman’s Shooting

(Washington, DC)  –  Members of Congress from Utah are calling for more security after one of their own was shot during practice for a charity baseball game.  Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz tells the “Salt Lake Tribune” that U.S. marshals should give lawmakers more protection when they attend events away from the Capitol.  Chaffetz was reacting to yesterday’s shooting at a DC-area park that left Congressman Steve Scalise critically injured.  GOP Representatives Mia Love and Chris Stewart agree that more security would be welcome, though Stewart says he’s unsure what form the extra protection should take.Â
