(Salt Lake City, UT) – The Utah Highway Patrol will have more troopers out on the road for Easter weekend. The UHP is stepping up enforcement efforts today by putting more than a hundred extra officers in place around Utah. A spokesman for the highway patrol says most of the troopers’ attention will be on DUI enforcement, especially around recreational areas. Statewide driving deaths have nearly doubled compared to the same period last year starting on January 1st, with 39 people killed on Utah’s roads.Â
