Two bodies found in Juab County, possibly missing teens

Unified police and fire, and search and rescue crews believe they have found the bodies of two missing teens in Juab County.

Authorities searched through the Tintic Standard mine in Eureka on Wednesday. During a press conference, officials said they found the bodies about 100 feet down an open mine.

18-year-old Riley Powell and 17-year-old Brelynne Otteson went missing three months ago as they were driving from Tooele to Eureka. A month later, investigators found the jeep they were driving  abandoned near Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Officials have not confirmed the identity of the bodies yet. But they do believe the two were victims of foul play and they have persons of interest under investigation.
