Trail Mountain Prescribed Fire Remains 59 Percent Contained

EMERY COUNTY, Utah-Per the official Twitter account of Utah Wildfire Info, the latest report on the Trail Mountain Fire is that this prescribed burn is still 59 percent contained.

Utah Wildfire reports the blaze has torched 16,837 acres and through the Thursday efforts of firefighters, the blaze was successfully kept on the west side of S.R. 31.

Through Saturday, Utah Wildfire forecasts red flag weather conditions in the region.

The fire continues to rage on Manti-La Sal National Forest land, governed by the Price Field Office of the forest and the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State lands.

It is primarily located on private lands 15 miles northwest of Orangeville, making the smoke visible from various places in the Sanpete Valley when it rages during the heat of the day.
