Stage II Fire Restriction Exemptions in Grand Canyon, Kaibab National Forest

KAIBAB NATIONAL FOREST, Ariz.-Per a report in the St. George News,  as of Friday morning at 8:00 am MST the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service have implemented additional fire restrictions (Stage II fire restrictions) across the North Kaibab Ranger District.

These restrictions have been imposed at the South Rim, North Rim and Inner Canyon of Grand Canyon National Park as well.

Stage II fire restrictions were already in place in the Williams and Tusayan ranger districts of the Kaibab National Forest as well.

Visitors should be aware that these fire restrictions inside the Kaibab National Forest and the Grand Canyon in its entirety limit certain activities and will be enforced until being rescinded.

This will not occur until “significant and widespread moisture” arrives and fire danger levels subside.
