A side-by-side accident in Sanpete County on Monday afternoon sent two girls to the hospital. According to the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Shumway Road, north of Manti when two girls, between the ages of 11 and 14, went off the roadway, and the side-by-side they were driving rolled. Neither one was wearing a seat belt or helmet, and both were ejected from the vehicle. One was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the other was taken via helicopter. Both were later transferred to Primary Children’s Hospital.
