Sevier County officers find wanted couple

A man and women are in custody after the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and Richfield City police tracked them down to a Richfield hotel Monday.

54-year old Michael Patenaude was wanted out of Virginia with a warrant for charges related to weapons of mass destruction and probation.

49-year old Kimberly Pettingill was wanted out of Juab County.

Officials tracked the couple to the Nights Inn in Richfield. US Marshals had been in Sevier County a few days earlier, but didn’t have any success in their search for Patenaude.

According to Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis, it was a good day to get the two at the same time.

Officials found 14 grams of meth and one gram of marijuana in the hotel room the two were sharing, along with evidence the two were dealing the drugs.

Patenaude will likely be sent back to Virginia to face charges related to his warrant, according to Curtis.
