Five young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Mt. Pleasant City on Friday. The pageant is under new direction this year, and a new phase has also been added. During the Lifestyle and Fitness competition, contestants will perform a fitness routine designed to demonstrate the girls’ level of fitness, drive, energy and stage presence.
Contestants include McKenna Jean Murphy, daughter of Rob and Leslie Tubman and Shane and Sheri Murphy; Avery Ann Briggs, daughter of Matt and Erika Briggs; Mashaylie Ann Burnside, daughter of Preston and Natalie Burnside; Rylee Ann McKay, daughter of John and Debbie McKay; and Mary Megan Murphy, daughter of Michael and Mary Murphy.
The pageant will be held in the North Sanpete High School auditorium and begins as 7 p.m.
