(Hurricane, UT) – The mayor of Hurricane receives a year-long suspended jail sentence for helping two men poach deer on his property. John Bramall reached a deal with prosecutors earlier this week that saw him plead guilty to a charge of attempted aiding or assisting in a wildlife violation. Bramall will have to serve 18 months of probation and pay restitution to the Help Stop Poaching Fund. Investigators say two deer including one trophy animal were killed by another man on Bramall’s property last October. His term as mayor runs through next December. Â
