Man wanted in Nevada arrested in Sevier County

A man wanted in Nevada is now in the Sevier County Jail after being arrested in Redmond on Tuesday.

According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, the Millard County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for Mark Georgantas unsuccessfully.

Georgantas was wanted in Nevada for failure to show up to a sentencing hearing after being convicted of stealing money from people in Las Vegas.

Sevier County deputies found Georgantas in a home in Redmond where he was using the name “Todd Wolf.”

He’s expected to be extradited to Las Vegas to faces his charges there.

According to officials, Georgantas had several escapes from custody in the past–one time crawling through a sewer system in California, and crawling through a bathroom window in a Las Vegas court house. He was also known for escaping from officers by claiming to have a medical condition that needs attention.
