(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s liquor commissioner is looking into developing a mobile phone app that could help people find the closest liquor store, or find out if a certain product is in stock. Olivia Agraz tells the “Salt Lake Tribune” she’s requested a look into the technology for three years. Liquor department directors say they’ve been working on mobile technology services, but they’re limited in resources. They say state law prohibiting the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control from promoting alcohol consumption could be a problem.
