Dump truck rams into Utah laundromat

KAMAS, Utah (AP) — Authorities say two drivers were transported to a hospital after a dump truck crashed into a laundromat in Kamas.

KUTV reports the driver of a Jeep Liberty failed to stop at an intersection around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

At the same time, a dump truck was traveling and rammed into the side of the Jeep and pushed it off to the right shoulder.

The Utah Highway Patrol says the dump truck driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was thrown to the floor of the truck.

As a result, he wasn’t able to stop the truck and it crashed into the laundromat.

Authorities say both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

No one was injured inside the laundromat at the time of the crash.

Police do not suspect that either driver was impaired.
