Chris Stewart holds town hall in Richfield

Congressman Chris Stewart is discussing issues throughout his town hall tour.

In Richfield Wednesday Stewart started his town hall by discussing the national debt, suicide prevention and his Anti-Socialism Caucus.

Just over 20 people attended the event and asked questions ranging from how congress is helping young people to the border wall.

On abortion, Stewart criticized new laws in New York and Virginia. He also spoke in favor of the Child Born Alive Act. Stewart said he would continue to support the act until there was a vote on it.

On socialism, Stewart said it needs to be fought.

“If we don’t fight it, it will happen,” Stewart said. “We have to be adamant as to why we oppose it.”
