Car crash leads to arrests for DUI and drugs in Richfield

Two men are now in police custody after causing a car accident in Richfield Wednesday.

According to Police Chief Trent Lloyd, Matthew Hatch was driving North when he ran a red light on Main Street and hit a car going Eastbound. Those two cars than both hit another car at the intersection.

Hatch has now been charged with a DUI and possession of methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Jeremy Syddall, who was a passenger in Hatch’s car, has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, meth and heroin.

There were only minor injuries from the accident.
