Body of missing fisherman pulled from Utah reservoir

MANILA, Utah (AP) — Authorities say they have recovered the body of a man who went missing while fishing at a northern Utah reservoir more than two months ago.
The Daggett County Sheriff’s Office reported 59-year-old Phil Sabey was pulled from the Flaming Gorge Reservoir on Tuesday. His body had been spotted in the reservoir’s Mustang Ridge area by two fishermen who contacted authorities.
Sabey had gone missing Jan. 20.
Police responded the next day to a report of an empty truck with its engine running at the Cedar Springs boat ramp.
The vehicle was identified as Sabey’s, and the man was believed to have fallen into the water and drowned while unloading his boat.
Initial search efforts were eventually suspended due to winter storms.
The body has been sent for an autopsy.
