(Salt Lake City, UT) — The BLM is re-issuing a fire protection order for Salt Lake, Utah, Tooele, Rich and Box Elder counties. Officials say record heat, low humidity, and high winds are creating very vulnerable conditions for wildfires. They say there were more than a dozen human-caused fires last weekend in Northern Utah. Fireworks, exploding targets, tracer and incendiary ammunition, and off-highway vehicles without spark arrestors are prohibited.
