Authorities Respond To Several Bomb Threats Across Utah

Law enforcement officers across Utah are investigating at least 50 bomb threats in the state that may be part of a nationwide hoax.

Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis says a trucking company in Aurora in Sevier County received a threat Thursday.

Authorities say the threats have targeted a range of institutions including Dixie State University, local businesses and the Park Record news outlet in Park City.

According to officers, the threats all came through emails and included demands for a ransom to be paid in bitcoin.

Curtis says they take all threats seriously.

At this point, no explosive devices have been found.
